It is imperative that your stove is installed by somebody certified by one of the following competent persons schemes; HETAS, APHC, BESCA, NAPIT or NICEIC. By using an approved installer it means that your installation complies with the requirements of the Building Regulations, it is also recorded on the chosen competent person’s schemes database.
HETAS is the most recognised body approved by the Government, a HETAS installer will have the skills and experience to install your stove safely and to a very high standard. The approved installers are equipped with the knowledge to overcome any problems that may arise during the installation of your stove. HETAS installers will also be able to self-certify installations and provide you with the certificate on the day of installation.
The certificate issued is a legal document and is required to be presented to your insurance company if requested, failure to comply with the installation instructions or Building Regulations could invalidate your home insurance!
